2012 Rogers Cup: Murray withdraws due to knee injury

Toronto, ON –Gold medallist Andy Murray officially withdraws from Toronto’s 2012 Rogers Cup with a knee injury.

He says it’s only a precaution after hurting his left knee during his match against Italian Flavio Cipolla. Competing in Cincinnati and the U.S. Open are also questionable, he said.

Canadian and Thornhill native,  Milos Raonic advances to his first quarterfinals in a ATP Masters 1000 event. The No. 16 seed only played one match thus far.

This leaves Novak Djokovic the only top four ranked ATP player left.
